Turnkey Project Management

Summit provides expert oversite to deliver turnkey project management solutions on your decommissioning, abandonment, and end-of-life asset retirement projects.

Turnkey Solutions include, but are not limited to:

  • Project management and administration

  • Prime contractor capabilities

  • Third party vendor management and project controls

  • Alberta Site Rehabilitation (ASRP) and Accelerated Site Closure Program (ASCP) qualified.

Pipeline Abandonment Services

To meet regulatory requirements pipelines must be emptied, purged, isolated, and left in a safe condition so that there are no risks to the public or environment. Summit provides all of these requirements in house in accordance with regulatory requirements and client specifications.

Pipeline Abandonment Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Project Management and administration

  • Regulatory notifications

  • Third-party agreements

  • One-Call submissions

  • Pigging and purging of the line

  • Lower risers

  • Dead leg elimination

  • Mechanical Internal cutting tool technology (ICT)

  • Provide client daily field tickets detailing abandonment progress

  • Pipeline Abandonment Report

  • Provide all HSE items (including ERP, Hazard ID, BBO, FLHA, JSA, etc.)

  • AER One Stop Submission to change the status of the PL to Abandoned

  • New line installation and repair

 

Well Abandonment Services

Summit is a unique well abandonment service provider with the ability to abandon wells utilizing the latest cost-effective technology or abandon wells through conventional methods. We strive to deliver cost effective solutions that reduce ground disturbance protocols, are safer and reduce environmental impacts to help move sites through the reclamation process faster.

Well Abandonment Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Project Management and Administration

  • One-Call submissions

  • Wellhead cut and cap

    • Abrasive Water Jet

    • Conventional Cut and Cap

  • Daily field reporting and progress reports

  • Cut and Cap final documentation package

 

Surface Decommissioning Services

Surface decommissioning involves removing infrastructure and surface equipment such as facilities, pump jacks, surface pipelines, wellheads, and so on. Summit has the experience and equipment to complete these requirements.

Surface Decommissioning Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Project Management and administration

  • One-Call Submissions

  • Piling removal and abandonments

  • Fluid drain-down and cleaning scope

  • Asset recovery and evaluation

  • Surface equipment cleaning, removal and transport

  • Fluid draining, purging and cleaning of vessels tanks and piping

  • Manage fluids/materials for recycling

  • Internal cleaning of vessels/tanks for inspections

  • Daily field progress reporting and documentation

History

In 2017, Summit entered the surface abandonment and decommissioning services sector focusing on pipeline, facility and abandonment services and technologies.

Summit acquired Remuda Energy Solutions in 2017 and merging their expertise and technology with Summit’s proven project management experience Summit Decommissioning was created. Remuda combined ingenuity with field experience to develop and patent an innovative internal dry cold cutting tool that has revolutionized the surface abandonment industry. This sector of our business has allowed us to integrate abandonment and environmental assessment services creating a uniquely qualified and innovative service provider combining professional environmental consulting with leading technology and expertise.
